About the Digital Awards
The Australian Government Digital Awards is a flagship event for the Digital Profession. The Awards celebrate digital excellence in delivering Government priorities, showcase digital capability and contribute to building a Digital Profession. These activities support the objectives of the Digital Transformation Strategy to build a government fit for the digital age.
The Australian Government Digital Awards (Digital Awards) were formerly the Australian Government ICT Awards. They were revamped to acknowledge the wide range of approaches and technological uses in digital transformation.
Purpose of the event
The Digital Awards:
- recognises excellence in government digital products, services, partnerships and individuals
- celebrate the work of nominated government agencies and agencies working with industry that are leading modern and efficient digital practices
- celebrate the work of individuals who are contributing to outstanding digital delivery and practice.
The event also aims to raise awareness of the need for digital capability in Government and highlights the role of Digital Profession in building capability in agencies.
